We are thrilled that you are wanting to join our team at Bohemian Summer Festival! Our volunteer crew are an essential part of the festival. With your outgoing and friendly approach, you'll help the guests, presenters and stallholders experience the community magic that makes this a truly special experience.
Your commitment to us
- 12 hours of your time.
Volunteer shifts will be up to 4 hours per day, including bump in and bump out (Wednesday-Sunday). You will have plenty of time to enjoy the festival too :)
- $75 to confirm your commitment. This small fee covers our administrative costs. Successful applicants will be send the link to confirm your volunteer place and make this payment.
Festival Dates: Program runs from Friday 14th Feb - Sunday 16th Feb 2024 however Volunteers are expected to arrive earlier in order to go through the induction & meet and greet.
Please note that there are a few different options, so please have a read and pick the one that suits you:
* Option 1: Helping with Bump in (from 12pm Wednesday 12th Feb & a few hours on Thursday 13th Feb) and Bump out (Sunday 16th Feb 3pm-8pm) - (arrive onsite on Wednesday afternoon or early Thursday am depending on shift)
* Option 2: Volunteering during the festival only - 1 x 4hr shift per day is required. You must be available to arrive on Thursday for the induction and team meeting in order to be ready for your shifts on Friday 14th - Sunday 16th Feb.
* Option 3: Helping with bump in/out & during the festival.
You will receive:
- A complimentary Camping Festival Ticket (Access on the Thursday - Sunday or optional access on Wednesday if you are helping with Bump in or Art installation/decor).
- Car Pass
- Some Snacks, Drinks & Access to the staff kitchen (Please ensure that you tidy up after yourself)
- Being a part of an amazing team before and after the event

Options include the following:
TICKET CHECKING & TRAFFIC CONTROL - ticket checking on entry and helping to co-ordinate parking.
MERCH / INFO STAND - being knowledgeable about the festival to be able to help patrons as well as money handling. Customer service focused.
AREA CHAMPS FOR WORKSHOP & ACTIVITY AREAS - ensure presenters have anything they need, tech support for pa systems (training will be provided), welcoming festival goers to the area, giving out any info for the presenter, ensuring area's are clean and well stocked if needed.
COMMUNITY CHAMPS / GENERAL GO-BETWEEN - ensure festival goers are having a good time, help those who appear to be struggling or lost, check activity areas have water for presenters and staff, check toilets are clean and stocked, check generators if needed. Check un-maned areas are clean and stocked. Bringing morning and afternoon tea platters out to the staff tent. General tasks as required.
STAGE / LIGHTING / PRODUCTION - tech support, sound check and production.
PHOTOGRAPHY / VIDEOAGRAPHY & DRONE PHOTOGRAPHY/ JOURNALISM - Capture the festival in all ways possible.
SELF CARE HUB - Help take bookings, sign in Healers & Readers etc
CLEANING - Toilets, tables, bins etc
FESTIVAL ART INSTALLATION - We are open to ideas!
PRESENTER CO-ORDINATOR (Needs to be available Thursday - Sunday to assist with presenters)
HEALERS & READERS CO-ORDINATOR (Must be available Thursday - Sunday to assist with Healers & Readers)
STALLHOLDER CO-ORDINATOR (Must be available Thursday - Sunday to assist with Stallholders)
CRAFT CO-ORDINATOR & SUPPORT
GATE/TRAFFIC MANAGER (Must be available Wednesday - Sunday to assist with Gate and traffic setup and checkings through out the festival)
OTHER - Feel you could help and contribute in some way? We are open to ideas!
PLEASE NOTE - There are NO refunds. The complimentary volunteer camping ticket can not be on sold or transferred to someone else. It is your responsibility to onsell any tickets you may have already purchased or have on payment plan in lieu of your volunteer pass.
