    Dog Walking

    1. I agree to provide keys / arrange for keys to be made available for Fife Doggy Homecare. 
    2. I give consent for Fife Doggy Homecare to obtain emergency vet care if necessary.
    3. I accept responsibility for vet charges related to emergency care. 
    4. I consent to Fife Doggy Homecare using an alternative vet if my regular vet is not available. I consent for my dog's medical history to be released to the other vet practice if required. 
    5. I will notify Fife Doggy Homecare if there is a concern about my dog within 24 hours of a walk. 
    6. I understand I must disclose any behavioural problems that might make my dog unsuitable for walks. 
    7. I understand it is my responsibility to inform Fife Doggy Homecare when my female dog comes into season. I understand the potential risks of not informing Fife Doggy Homecare.
    8. I have discussed my dog being off the lead and given / not given consent on the back of that. I have given Fife Doggy Homecare information on my dog's recall.
    9. Fife Doggy Homecare will not let my dog off the lead without written consent from me to let them off. 
    10. If Fife Doggy Homecare feels my dog is not suited to being off the lead, I agree to my dog being walked in the lead / long line.
    11. I have discussed the use of pictures of my dog on social media and have given / not given consent accordingly.  
    12. I confirm that my dog does not show aggression towards other dogs.
      I understand that I need to give 2 weeks’ notice if I wish to stop using Fife Doggy Homecare's services. 
    13. Fife Doggy Homecare will notify you well in advance of any absences. 
    14. If a walker at Fife Doggy Homecare is not well and cannot walk your dog, you will be notified ASAP. 
    15. This agreement is valid for all future walks until a new agreement is signed. 
    16. Fife Doggy Homecare reserves the right to refuse walking a dog at any time.

    Boarding

    1. Your dog will live in the house as part of the family.
    2. I understand that Fife Doggy Homecare has resident cats and dogs in the house, Fife Doggy Homecare will introduce my dog to them in a calm way that will allow my dog to get used to the cats and not chase them.
    3. I understand that Fife Doggy Homecare reserves the right to not have my dog board with them if my dog doesn’t fit into the family home.
    4. Fife Doggy Homecare has spare towels, bedding, bowls, and toys however, I understand that it is encouraged that I provide these for my dog’s stay.
    5. I understand that as this is a family home and setup, toys may be shared amongst dogs, they may get taken into the garden and could get a but muddy.
    6. I have provided written instructions for feeding arrangements for my dog. I understand that I need to provide the food for my dog.
    7. I understand that if Fife Doggy Homecare runs out of the food I provided, that I will be charged for a replacement bag of food. Fife Doggy Homecare will talk to me about if the food I provided is starting to run low.
    8. I understand that I need to provide any medication / supplements my dog needs, as well as clear, written instructions on when to give them. Fife Doggy Homecare cannot be held responsible for any complications arising as a result.
    9. I understand my dog has its own room and will sleep in it with the door closed at night to give it its space. My dog will be fed in this room to prevent any resource guarding or animosity between dogs.
    10. I understand that my dog will go out on the walks through the day.
      If you cancel your home boarding between 10 days and 48 hours before the start date of the booking you will be charged 50%. If you cancel within 48 hours of the booking you will be fully charged for the booking.
    11. Fife Doggy Homecare requires a copy of the dog’s vaccination records.
    12. Fife Doggy Homecare will not board a dog that has an infectious illness.
    13. Fife Doggy Homecare will not board a female dog if she is in season. If a female dog is dropped off in season then Fife Doggy Homecare will retain 100% of the overall booking charge. 

    Training

    1. I understand that Fife Doggy Homecare is training to be a dog training and does not have a training certificate just yet.
    2. Fife Doggy Homecare will help me as best I can to achieve my training goals but drawing on their knowledge, experience, and learning.
    3. Training will take place either in the home of the dog or in a mutually agreed place outside.
    4. Fife Doggy Homecare reserves the right to not provide training for a dog they consider to be dangerous to people or other dogs.
    5. Fife Doggy Homecare will use force-free methods to train.
    6. I understand that results may not be instant and that the training in the session needs to be practiced at home for long lasting results.
    7. Each training session is tailored to the dog based on the information provided in the training form and from conversations had at sessions and the meet and greet.
    8. I understand that Fife Doggy Homecare may stop the session early if necessary. This may be due to weather, heat, the dog’s tiredness, or in the interest of public safety.
    9. I understand that if I cancel the day before the training session then I will be fully charged for the session.
    10. I understand that it is my responsibility to inform Fife Doggy Homecare if there are any changes in my dog that may impact our sessions e.g. medical information, behavioural changes, or homing situation.
    11. I understand it is my responsibility to make sure my dog is in good health and up to date with flea, worm and tick treatments.
    12. I understand that Fife Doggy Homecare is not qualified to provide any medical or vaccination advice.

    Meet and Greet Policy

    1. This is an obligation from Fife Council. 
    2. It will be held at Ravenscraig Park, unless arranged otherwise. 
    3. This is an excellent way for Fife Doggy Homecare to meet your dog and learn more about what the owner's goals are and to learn more about the dog. 
    4. Fife Doggy Homecare will not take a dog on unless there has been a meet and greet. 

    Cancellation Policy 

    1. If you cancel the day before your walk or training session, then you will be fully charged. 
    2. If you cancel your home boarding between 10 days and 48 hours before the start date of the booking you will be charged 50%.
    3. If you cancel within 48 hours of the booking you will be fully charged for the booking.

    Payment Policy 

    1. Invoices will be sent out on Friday to be paid by 18:00 the following Monday. 
    2. Payments can be made with a bank transfer or cash. 
    3. A reminder will be sent out on Thursday if the balance has not been paid. 
    4. After this reminder a late charge of £5 per day will be added to your invoice. 

    Lead Policy

    1. Suitable leads must be provided. If not provided, then leads will be provided by the dog walker. Please discuss if you have any concerns. 

    Weather

    1. When the weather is extremely hot Fife Doggy Homecare reserves the right to not walk your dog when it is too hot and dangerous to do so. 
    2. Fife Doggy Homecare will be in touch to discuss alternatives for helping your dog keep cool, comfortable, and entertained when this weather is forecasted.
    3. Walks will be normal for rain, wind, ice, and snow unless the weather makes travelling unsafe for your dog and the walker. 
    4. Fife Doggy Homecare reserves the right to cancel a walk if necessary.
