Psychologist Applicants

Standard

• An applicant who is not currently licensed in the U.S., Washington D.C., or a U.S. Territory, or has been licensed in another jurisdiction for less than five years.

Endorsement

• An applicant who is currently licensed for at least five years in the U.S., Washington D.C., or a U.S. Territory and whose licensure requirements are equivalent or substantially equivalent to those of Nevada shall complete an application process aimed at expediting licensure.  Equivalency includes, but is not limited to, the requirement of 2,000 supervised internship hours and 1,750 supervised post-doctoral hours.

• An applicant who has been licensed in the U.S., Washington D.C., or a U.S. Territory for 20 or more years or possesses a National Registry, CPQ, and/or  ABPP credential shall complete a shortened application process aimed at expediting licensure.

All applicants for licensure are subject to a criminal background check.

APPLICATION FEE:

The application fee is $150.00.  An additional fee of $5.10 is added to cover the administrative costs that PayPal assesses. If you would prefer to pay via check or money order, mail the application and fee to: Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners, 3080 South Durango Drive, Suite 102, Las Vegas, NV 89117.

Upon receipt of this form and payment, the Nevada Board of Psychological Examiners will evaluate your credentials. If applicable, your information will be provided to the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards for further processing through the Psychology Licensure Universal System (PLUS) application.  The application and supporting documents will be held in the ASPPB databank for future use of applicants wishing to gain licensure in other states or provinces. ASPPB will contact applicants through the email listed to complete the required application. Additional fees will apply.  The Board office will communicate any other requirements for licensure including a criminal background check and the Nevada State Examination.
