RULES
Competitors, owners, family, supporters, staff enter and compete at their own risk. By entering any of the shows or show grounds, the competitor, owners, spectators, staff agree to fully indemnify the owner of the premises and organisers, show managers and show secretary of any of the events of any and all civil and delictual liability or damages. You further acknowledge that there are domesticated animals, including, but not limited to horses and dogs, present on the premises and confirm that you are aware of the risks of any injury that may be caused by any animal on the premises and agree to indemnify the owner of the premises and organiser of any events on these premises of any and all civil and delictual liability or damages. You acknowledge that this disclaimer shall indemnify the owner and or organiser of any and all claims of any nature. You enter these shows at entirely your own risk and take full responsibility for your own safety and health and that of your accompanying family, staff, supporters and animals.
Competitors and horse owners undertake to NOT bring any horse with a invectious desease to the show.
Open to all breeds and sizes of horses/ponies.
The organisers reserve the right to scratch, combine and restrict classes should they deem it necessary.
If a class is cancelled due to lightning or other weather it will not be rescheduled.
All horses must have documentation of an Influenza vaccination within 6 months of the date of the show and of African Horse Sickness vaccination within 24 months of the date of the show.
The age of all horses and riders, where applicable, will be calculated from the actual date of birth to the day of the show.
No cross entries of horses are allowed between Division Groups. A youth and adult rider may ride the same horse in the same division for two different age groups.
Riders under 18 ARE NOT PERMITTED to ride stallions.
Stallions are to have a YELLOW tag on their bridle.
Horses that kick are to have a RED ribbon in their tail.
Hard Hats for Youth under 18 is MANDATORY.
EXERCISING OF HORSES: A warm-up arena will be available. No excessive schooling allowed. Exercise should be paced throughout the day to be fair to the horse.
SHOW NUMBERS: A new number will be allocated for each show.
Several day paddocks and stables will be available but must be booked prior to the event. Please be on the lookout via WhatsApp
Horses and riders/handlers who are not in the arena within 2 minutes after the class is called will not be allowed to compete in that class.
PETS - NO DOGS ALLOWED
ALL competitors/handlers are PROHIBITED from consuming alcohol while competing/showing.
Should a horse break-away from its holding pen or handler, the owner of a break-away horse will be fined R250 per break-away.
NO HORSES ARE ALLOWED TO BE TIED TO ANY TREES, POLES, HORSEBOXES, TRAILERS, CARS OR CAZEBOS. Paddocks and stables are available from venues and need to be arranged by the owner of the horse.
Arena etiquette is to be practised at all times. Should any rider not adhere to the rules during the warm-up of reining horses, the rider will be fined R250 for each infringement. Let's be curtious and rather spend the bucks on refreshments and entries :-)
