Leave Recovery Dermshield on for 4 to 7 days. Do not lift it, change it, or remove it.
If you see any irritation or redness on your non-tattooed skin under the dermshield, take off the bandage and heal the tattoo traditionally. Redness and pain on the actual tattoo is normal, the skin around the tattoo should not be affected. This might mean you have a slight sensitivity to the adhesive or that the area is too irritated.
There will be blood and ink under the Dermshield(this is normal)
If the bandage leaks, remove the wrapping. If the bandage is not sealed fully bacteria can get into the bandage.
Workout at your own risk, sweat can buildup under the dermshield and cause an infection or a leak. I recommend waiting the initial 4-7 days while you have the bandage on.
Recovery Derm will protect your tattoo from infection, abrasion and external irritants like pets or dust.
Remove Dermshield after the 4-7 days. When removing the Dermshield make sure you do it gently under running water. Carefully peel it off of your skin, You can use coconut oil to remove any lingering adhesives.
After removing the covering, rinse the tattoo with warm water and non-scented antibacterial soap. Pat dry completely with a clean paper towel and lightly moisturize with an unscented lotion. You want to do this 2x a day For the next 7 to 10 days. Use unscented lotion when the tattoo feels dry. Keep your tattoo clean. Do not scratch or peel your tattoo at any time.
