  • Consultation and informed consent

A full consultation will be undertaken with you on your first visit, to ensure you understand the treatment, risks associated with it, and give you the opportunity to ask any questions prior to giving us consent to treat you. If you have any concerns or questions that you want to ask, prior to completing this form, please email: stacey@nzlasertraining.co.nz This is a learning / training environment, and you must be happy to have a treatment done in front of a group of trainees which can be a combination of men & women. We do however, actively supervise all treatments carried out by trainees. Trainees are learning, and therefore can be slow. Please be patient and understand that sometimes, on rare occasions we may run out of time to complete the treatment fully. Please let us know if you are limited for time. All treatments carried out by our trainees are done FREE of CHARGE.
  • Model availability and location - you will need to be available on weekdays and travel to our training venue

We are located inside the Life Healthcare / Cryomed aesthetics building, 10 Cawley Street, Ellerslie. There is free parking on-site or on the street.
  • A little about the types of treatments we can offer

Laser and IPL treatments - the machine handpiece is applied to the skin and pulses of light energy are applied to the skin. The Laser or IPL light is absorbed by melanin, blood or water which can be found in the hair and skin. Risks are associated with darker skin types and anyone taking photo-sensitising medications, along with those suffering from immune deficiency, slow healing and poor health. The skin should not be sun tanned at the time of the treatment to avoid complications such as unwanted burns, blisters and pigmentary changes. A series of 8-10 treatments may be required for hair removal and 3-5 treatments for varying skin conditions.
  • Laser Tattoo Removal

Laser Tattoo Removal – these are done using a Q-Switched Laser Machines which work underneath the skin targeting and breaking down the ink in the tattoo. The broken down ink is then absorbed by the body and travels through the lymphatic system. The body needs to be healthy and functioning well during treatments and afterwards to aid the metabolising process, so we do not want your body to be fighting any form of infection, or have a compromised immune condition. The skin must be cared for appropriately 3 - 7 days after each treatment to prevent infection, scaring and pigmentary changes. Depending on ink colour, density of ink, and body location and type of tattoo, you may need anywhere from 8 – 20 treatments. We may not be in a position to completely rid you of the unwanted ink entirely, due to the overall number of treatments needed, but you will see fading. As this is not a working clinic, we cannot guarantee appointments are on-going, which is what will be needed. Our models have experienced great success with their tattoo goals. ** Please note, when tattoo ink is broken up by the laser, it travels through your lymphatic system and we do not know if there are any long term risks to individuals due to this. If you are concerned about this, or want to ask more, please email stacey@nzlasertraining.co.nz
  • Skin lesions / skin checks and melanoma

A skin check / assessment may be required prior to having IPL or Laser on the desired treatment area. This assessment should be done by a Dermatologist and/or Skin Specialist trained in Dermoscopy. This is to receive medical clearance that no active skin cancers and/or early stage, or suspected melanomas are present in the area that you are wanting to have treated. You will be required to provide proof of your skin check assessment. (eg: a letter from the Dr or Nurse checking your skin/lesions)
