Membership Renewal or Membership Application
1st July 2025 to 30th June 2026
Thank you for renewing or applying for membership for another exciting year ahead.
Please read through this document thoroughly. On the last page there will be a form to update your current or new details and a check box to confirm you have read the Health and Safety terms and agree to these terms.
Membership fees for the Waimakariri Riding Club for the 2025/2026 membership year (i.e. 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026) as follows:
1. Full year per rider fee $50
2. Half year per rider fee $35 (half year is for new members joining after 1 January 2026
3. Full year per family fee $75
4. Half year per family fee $60 (half year is for new members joining after 1 January 2026)
5. Full year per non-rider fee $30 (no half year option available for non-riders)
6. Day membership $20
Day membership applies if you come to a coached rally and there are fees associated with the event. You will be paying the cost of the rally plus day membership. Depending on the event this can be similar to full membership.
Family membership applies to immediate family members only. We will ask you to name the family members on this membership application (below).
After your membership is confirmed Kym will send a welcome information pack that contains details for the club like details on health and safety, code of conduct (concussion, helmets, body protectors and management of disputes).
The information pack contains all sorts of useful information on our website, www.waimakaririridingclub.com, our member only FB and how to register for events, for example. The information pack also has the bank account number in case you can't find it.
In general membership of WRC:
Benefits of WRC membership
- discounted coaching fees ($20 per rally)
- discounted entry fees to WRC events or NZ Riding Club events
- insurance membership through our NZ Riding Club insurance
- regular club days. Three a month. Usually a rally, speaker-dinner and hacknix (shortish hacking ride followed by food and drinks)
- events organised by club. This year we have added treking, a two day camp and South Island Teams event (SITE)
- optional uniforms available as you wish (see website merchandise)
- fun and people to ride out with during the week
In return as a member we expect
- Help at rallies and events. Where we have bigger events with outside entries (Team dressage Quest, Musical Freestyle, SITE, Christmas Ribbon Day) help amounting to stewarding, parking assistance, food or other support as possible.
- Respect each other, your equine partner and yourselves. Have fun and help others as you can. Ask for help if you need it. Enjoy this amazing and fun club and support riders of certain ages get back and keep riding. We are here to support you and your equine partner.
