The Canterbury Car Club invites interested parties to make application to enter the SKOPE Classic Race Meeting. This is an annual invitation event for drivers who are currently involved in Historic and Classic Car racing.

This is NOT an entry form. It is an application by you, to have you and your car considered as entrants.

Registration Of Interest forms should be received ASAP but may some classes may fill up early so don't delay. All forms will be responded to as soon as we can.

Please include information on modifications to the car, whether any modofications are period correct, originality, tyres used, race history etc.

Photographs of the car will need to accompany this application. We require an exterior photograph, showing the livery it would appear at the SKOPE Classic if accepted. Also required are interior and engine bay photographs.

 

No photographs = no further action by the organisers. Photos may be attached to this form or emailed to admin@canterburycarclub.co.nz to support this Registration of Interest.

NB: The Vintage Car Club, Historic Touring Cars, Formula 5000, Historic Sports Sedans & Mainland Muscle Cars run their own approvals for their classes, please get in touch with them to find out more.

The car is not the only consideration for new entries in the SKOPE Classic. This registration of interest is as much about the driver.

Recent racing experience is essential. (not test day or single car events). 

You must have the ability to race within your limits, understand where other cars are around you, and race hard but fair. 

Contact is not acceptable in Historic/Classic racing, if you can not race in a way which prevents indicents, please to not apply.

Please provide more information in the box below as to what makes your vehicle special and reasons why the Skope Organising Committee may want to consider inviting it.

eg:
-Is it original or a replica?

-Does it have the original type of engine, gearbox, brakes etc, or have some items been replaced?

-What tyres do you intend to race with? (this will effect what grid you may be able to race in)

If the car is from 1978 or newer, what makes the car something special that we should consider? 

If you do not have a current COD or equivalent for the car, please add info on what the car requires to get one.

For your Registration Of Interest to be considered, you must provide as much information as you possibly can about the car and why you think it would make a great addition to the Skope Classic Event.
