I hope all is well and this message finds you all in great spirits. As we approach the Fall 2024 Session, please take some time out to complete the Fall 2024 Housing application. This application notifies the Office of Residential Life and Housing about your plan to live on campus for the upcoming summer session term. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to visit the Residential Life Office located in Ripley Hall.

Students living within student housing must be enrolled full-time for the Fall 2024 session. Full-time status means the student is enrolled in at least 12 credit hours. Students enrolled in less than 12 credit hours for the Fall 2024 session semester are considered part-time. Part-time students are not allowed to live on campus.

Student parking on campus is done at your own risk, and the college does not assume liability for any theft, damage, or incidents that may occur to vehicles parked on campus. It is important to exercise caution and take necessary precautions to secure personal belongings and vehicles. Kindly be aware that the campus parking lot is open and not gated, thus emphasizing the need for vigilance and responsible parking practices. We encourage all students to lock their vehicles, avoid leaving valuables in plain sight, and report any suspicious activity to Campus Security.

Residential Life and Housing Fee

A NON-REFUNDABLE FEE of $135.00 is required for students to reserve their room. The fee must be paid before their application is processed. This is a required fee and must be paid in full before consideration is given for a room assignment. Room Reservation Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and only refundable when space is not available. You can pay via phone by calling the Business Office at 501-420-1214 or by paying the Business Office in cash once you arrive. A receipt of payment will be required upon move-in. Failure to show proof will delay your move-in process.

Residential Life and Housing Liability Statement
The undersigned herewith formally acknowledges and declares the following: I am responsible for the condition of my assigned residence space and shall reimburse the College for all damages to the space and damage to or loss of fixtures, furnishings, or properties furnished under the contract.

I agree to take every precaution to assure that communal property (including, but not limited to, bathrooms, stairwells, elevators, lounges, laundry rooms) is not abused. I agree that I am responsible for reimbursing the College for any damage I cause to communal property.

I understand that I am responsible for my key. Keys are issued at check-in. Keys must be returned when occupancy is terminated. If a key is lost or not returned when occupancy is terminated, the lock will be re-cored and new keys will be made. The cost for these services is $75 for each key and will be charged to the resident. All keys are property of the College and bear the statement “Not for Duplication.” Those violating this provision, or who possess keys other than the one assigned to them are subject to eviction from College housing.

I agree to abide by the College Residential Life & Housing policies and guidelines and state and federal laws. I understand that I will be immediately removed for possession or use of illegal substances, illegal possession or use of alcoholic beverages, possession of firearms/weapons, destruction of property or disruptive behavior. Smoking is prohibited in all College housing facilities.

I understand that normal everyday living (housing), organized activities at Arkansas Baptist College may result in injury/illness, permanent physical impairment or even death. These injuries may be minor or may be career threatening. I understand that Arkansas Baptist College can not be held responsible for any injuries or conditions that may be caused by the actions of other students or athletics.

I release, forever discharge and agree that no legal action can be initiated against Arkansas Baptist College, Board of Trustee, administrators, employees, or other participants. I hereby waive all such claims which I have now or may hereafter have against, Arkansas Baptist College or any of its personnel, however caused.
Students are responsible for the security of their own property. The college is not liable for theft or damage. It is highly recommended that residents insure their personal property through the purchase of renters insurance with their insurance company.
