At all other times, the Om Ami Dewa Hrih mantra accumulation of Buddha Amitabha will be recited single-pointedly. All mantras accumulated will be dedicated for the welfare of beings and world peace.

According to the enlightened intent of H.E. Garchen Rinpoche, the 100 Million Ami Dewa Recitation Retreat is conducted yearly where the six-syllable Om Ami Dewa Hrih mantra of Buddha Amitabha is accumulated 100 million times and beyond.

The ultimate purpose of engaging in the 100 Million Ami Dewa Recitation Retreat is to liberate all sentient beings of the six realms extensive as space from suffering and to establish them in the state of freedom and all-knowingness through the blessings of the Buddha Amitabha. The recitation of the mantra also brings about peace and joy within one’s mind, dispels all harm caused by the four elements, pacifies all warfare and diseases and delivers this world to peace and happiness. Obstacles, sufferings and adverse circumstances to the lives of sentient beings are pacified, and all virtuous aspirations can be accomplished.

By the virtues of this practice of the Buddha Amitabha's heart-pledge and extraordinary aspiration, oneself and all beings whom we have a karmic connection with, will be reborn in the pure land of Dewachen as soon as they pass from this life.
