Sponsored by the Anti-Racism Transformation Team (ARTT)
of the Pittsburgh Presbytery
What does antiracism require of you?
How are different forms of oppression linked?
What embodied values will transform our institutions and ourselves?
What makes our lives, our very beings, an act of resistance?
Antiracism as a Way of Being is a six-module/six hour video series developed for NEXT Church, a network of leaders across the PC(USA), and presented by Crossroads Antiracism Organizing and Training. This self-paced, online option is the equivalent of the ‘part 1’ workshops presented last April and November to Pittsburgh Presbytery. Completion of the six modules allows for participants to follow up, if they choose, by attending the ‘part 2’ workshop, Dominating White Ways, presented by Crossroads to members of Pittsburgh Presbytery, on Oct. 25 (4-8 PM) and Oct. 26 (10 AM-2PM).
- Online, self-paced, and available to view between July 15 - Oct. 15, 2024
- 6 sessions/modules with short videos of content & application (approx. completion time: 6 hours total)
- Delivered on NEXT Church’s e-learning platform - Teachable
- Six optional, one hour Zoom gatherings at 7 PM with fellow Pittsburgh Presbytery participants to process & reflect on each of the modules the following Mondays:
July 29, Aug 12, Aug 26, Sept 9, Sept 23, Oct. 7
