By submitting this form the adopter agrees to abide by the following terms:

1. The cat’s ownership transfers to the adopter when they have paid the cat’s expense compensation in full and this contract has been signed by the adopter and a representative of the organization.

2. The responsibility of the cat with its costs transfers to the adopter along with the ownership. The adopter agrees to take care of the cat being adopted according to the local animal welfare act, will take it to the vet without delay if need be and makes sure it’s vaccinations and dewormings are up to date.

3. In case the cat has been too young to be spayed at the time of adopting the organization requires the adopter to have it spayed. The adopter agrees in making sure that the cat does not reproduce.

4. The cat in question is an indoor cat. The adopter agrees to take the cat outside only in a harness and/or in a well fenced catio and makes sure that the cat does not run away or get harmed following the carelessness of the person.

5. The adopter agrees to inform the organization about how the cat is adjusting to its new home once a month for the first three months after adopting. The organization has the right to ask how the cat is doing. The representative of P.A.W.S. in Finland is Kyproskissat ry, through which all contact should be done.

6. If the cat needs to find a new home the search will be done by Kyproskissat ry locally on behalf of P.A.W.S.. The new home has to be interviewed and approved by a representative of Kyproskissat ry. If the cat is returned to the organization by the adopter the expense compensation will not be refunded.

7. The adopter cannot euthanize the cat without a serious reason based on the animal welfare act and the approval of the organization. Breaking this part of the contract results in a 1000€ fine. If euthanizing has to be considered and it’s not an immediate emergency the adopter needs to contact the organization before doing so.

8. By submitting this form the adopter accepts the cat in the state of health it is when given.
