The Plano Juneteenth Parade, proudly presented by Life Community Enrichment, is a community-centered celebration designed to honor heritage, unity, and resilience, while providing a safe, joyful, and inclusive environment for all ages. Our goal is to uplift and unite the community through culture, creativity, and connection.
We welcome participants from all walks of life to take part in this meaningful celebration. Whether you’re marching, riding, dancing, or driving a float, your presence adds to the legacy and energy of Juneteenth in Plano.
✅ Participation Agreement
By participating in the parade, all individuals, groups, companies, and organizations agree to uphold the spirit of the event and abide by the following guidelines.
🐎 Special Invitation to Horse Riders
We’re calling on all horse lovers—we want a BIG and beautiful show of horses this year!
If you plan to ride in the parade, please:

Arrive no later than 11:00 AM
Meet at: 1099-901 12th Place, Plano, TX 75074 (Douglass Community Mural)
Dress your horse in Juneteenth colors: red, green, or yellow to represent pride, heritage, and freedom.
📸 Photography & Media Consent
All participants acknowledge and consent to being photographed and/or recorded during the parade and related festivities. By participating, you grant Life Community Enrichment and its agents the right to use your name, image, and likeness in:
Promotional materials
Press releases
Social media and digital platforms
Television, radio, and print advertising
You waive any right to inspect or approve the final media and release all claims to privacy, compensation, or publicity.
❌ Right to Deny Participation
Life Community Enrichment reserves the right to deny or revoke participation to any individual, group, or organization that fails to comply with the event’s rules, regulations, or community standards.
🎭 Rules of Conduct & Presentation
All parade participants are expected to:
Abide by all federal, state, and local laws
Respect all city ordinances
Follow the guidance of event organizers and on-site volunteers
We also reserve the right to approve or deny:
Signs, slogans, and messages
Music, sound, or video content
Costumes, uniforms, and overall presentation
The number of marchers, vehicles, or animals in any group
This ensures a safe, cohesive, and family-friendly experience for everyone involved.
⚖️ Liability Waiver
By participating, you agree to release and hold harmless Life Community Enrichment, the Plano Juneteenth Planning Committee, and all affiliated partners, sponsors, staff, and volunteers from any claims resulting from:
Personal injury, including death
Property loss or damage
Any incident occurring during participation
This includes any unforeseen circumstances such as:
Severe weather
Acts of nature
Civil unrest
Unintentional disruptions or delays
