EMU was awarded a plannning grant by State of Michigan's 60 by 30 Student Success Initiative MILeap. Our project focuses on students who have both stopped out and returned to EMU and those who have stopped out of EMU in the past five years.
We define 'stop out' as individuals who have been enrolled at the university at one point and have had to exit the university before completing (graduating) their academic program.
We are looking to interview individuals in order to learn more about why students stop out, and why they return. Each participant will receive a $75.00 stipend/gift-card for their participation.
Information gathered will be used only in order to understad the causes of student stop out and inform University processes/programs moving forward. Data collected will not be used for external research purposes.
