    State Director

  • Candidates for Section State Director are solicited from the section membership. Candidates must be able to travel to and attend four (4) annual meetings of the CASBO Board of Directors, as well as participate in section events and activities. To be considered for the position, a candidate also must also meet the following criteria:

    • Must be a CASBO member in good standing for a minimum of three (3) consecutive years.
    • Must have served a in a leadership position at CASBO, to include serving as a current or past section president, Vice President of Education, Vice President of Advocacy, Vice President of Networking, State Legislative Committee Chair or State Legislative Committee Assistant Chair.

    Interested candidates must complete and submit this application by Monday, January 5, 2026. CASBO will forward the completed applications to the Executive Committee. The committee will review the applications and interview all candidates prior to referring them to the Board of Directors for approval. The candiate application will then be refered to the section leadership for approval. If more than one person applies, an electronic election will be held. If only one person applies and is certified by the committee, the election shall be by acclamation and the approval of the Board of Directors.

    Section certification indicates that an individual meets the criteria as established. It is not intended to nor does it convey endorsement of any candidate.

    Electioneering is not allowed for any CASBO office. If an election is held, candidates for Section State Director will be presented for consideration by the members via email and the CASBO website. No other materials or solicitations are allowed. This policy has been adopted to ensure that a fair and equitable election process exists.
