  • Thank you for your interest in supporting refugees from around the world through community sponsorship, and for your participation in the Sponsor Fund. 

    The Sponsor Fund is covering 60% of the initial financial requirement for qualifying applications. If you are applying to be matched with a refugee you do not know, your private sponsor group qualifies for $1,455 per refugee welcomed.

    The Sponsor Fund is made possible through the generous private philanthropy efforts led by the Shapiro Foundation in partnership with the Community Sponsorship Hub and GoFundMe.org. 

     

  • The Sponsor Fund is currently available for sponsor groups applying to be matched with a refugee they do not know who has already been approved for resettlement to the United States. At this time, the Sponsor Fund is not accepting applications from sponsor groups applying to identify a specific refugee or refugee family overseas and sponsor their resettlement in the United States. To support your Private Sponsor Group in raising funds, The Welcome Corps has developed a Fundraising Guide - Welcome Corps.

  • To apply for the sponsor fund, you must start a Welcome Corps application to sponsor a refugee you don’t know. The application portal allows you to complete the application in increments, including saving as a draft. You can start a draft application at https://apply.welcomecorps.org.
