Lasallian Mission Services currently offers long term volunteer programs across Australia and New Zealand. Acting in faith, motivated by Gospel values and sharing community.

Lasallian Volunteers empower the marginalised in our communities by offering service, primarily through education and welfare work.

Program Dates: January - December
Program Overview
Lasallian Volunteers (LVs): Long-term program is an eleven-month program which allows dedicated volunteers to experience a full-time commitment to Lasallian works. It provides an avenue for volunteers to serve, grow, and change lives (theirs and others).

The LV program is an opportunity to be formally associated with the mission whilst connected and accompanying a Lasallian community. It is a unique ministry about building positive relationships and living out the Lasallian core values of Faith, Service and Community. Locations are varied across the District; Australia and New Zealand. The program is supported pastorally, financially and administratively by Lasallian Mission Services.

While in placement, you will receive a modest weekly reimbursement to assist with the cost of personal items. Food and accommodation costs will be catered for you in community.

If you are reading this, your child or young person in your life has taken the first step in a life-changing journey to become a Lasallian Volunteer. If successful, your child or young person will get to experience new cultures while developing themselves in a supported environment.

Past Volunteers have grown in many ways and have gained life skills that have set them up for life - however, we know that this does not happen accidentally. Volunteering requires many sacrifices from individuals and families that miss their presence for close to 12 months. The nature of our placements requires Lasallian Volunteers to sometimes work with vulnerable young people and adults who may come from a different background and upbringing to our volunteers.

Lasallian Volunteers may often live away from home for the first time with new housemates they meet at our training program. It is our priority to ensure each person has their needs met, flourish, and the community they serve benefits from their presence.

To help us make a more successful placement, we would like to understand your family member better and ask that you answer the following questions;
