The MSME Council is the ninth council under the Fiji Commerce Employers Federation (FCEF). We welcome all MSMEs to register with us if you need support for your business and a safe space to Network with other like minded entrepreneurs.
We have 3 Categories of membership with access to specific benefits:
Category 1- $115 VIP per financial year - Benefits 1,3,4,9,12 + access to information and Training (USER PAY)
Category 2- $287.50 VIP per financial year - Benefits 1,2,3,4,9,12 + access to information, Participation in council meetings and trainings (FOC)
Category 3*- $575 VIP per financial year or 5% of the FNU Levy paid for January to
December plus VAT (whichever is the greater) - Benefits 1-12 (*you must have a registered business)
Benefits:
1. Opportunity to provide the private sector perspective on new or
amendments to legislation and participate in the process of policy
formulation
2. Opportunity to attend initiatives, forums and consultations organized by key
stakeholders e.g., FRCS, FRA, FNPF, LTA, Companies office
3. Act as a vehicle to address, with critical stakeholders or agencies, member
concerns and to provide member’s views on issues of the day e.g., measures
to promote Fiji as an attractive investment location
4. Participate in the FCEF submission on the annual national Budget, the
related Budget consultations, and lobby for policy developments and/or
changes
5. Opportunity to join any of FCEF’s nine Councils who meet monthly. By
attending these council meetings, you strengthen your networking base with
Government officials, corporate leaders & professionals in similar / other
industries, and expand your existing knowledge base by attending face-to-face information sessions, with critical stakeholders or agencies
6. Be eligible for discounts on all conferences, workshops and seminars
organized by FCEF
7. Work with FCEF to provide tailor made training programs to your workforce
8. Access to international training routed through FCEF including FOC
opportunities e.g., training by the Association for Overseas Technical
Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships (AOTS)
9. Participate in the collection and collation of employer-related data and
access to the resultant analysis and statistics
10. Representation by the resident FCEF Industrial Relations (IR)
Consultant at a discounted membership rate, at the employment
courts (mediation & tribunal)
11. Access to FCEF’s IR Unit’s Help Line from 9am to 9pm, for all matters related
to IR & HR
12. Other sundry services for members including access to weather and climate
information; obtaining an accompanying letter to Immigration to support an
application for an expatriate work permit, that generally expedites the
application process
