BOOTH REQUIREMENTS:
A vendor who wishes to participate in the 2024 WAA must do the following:
- In order to sell food at an event, food vendors are required to obtain certification from the Fayette County Health Department (618.283.1044). Contact Fayette County Health Department and complete Fayette County Health Department Temporary Food Establishment Permit Application/Fees and mail it to 416 W Edwards Street, Vandalia, Illinois 62471. The Health Department does not allow home canned items.
- All vendors must display a sign that identifies their business/organization/group name.
- All booths must be staffed during applied and stated event days/hours: Saturday, 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm
- Understand that no electricity will be provided and if required, vendor provides own generator.
- All vendors are allowed to sell/make/promote only items appropriate in a family environment.
CHARACTER OF EVENTS: Distribution by vendors of any printed matter, or other articles, shall be restricted to the space occupied by their booth. Nothing shall be posted on, tacked, nailed or otherwise attached to the road surface, light poles, benches, trees or other permanent street fixtures. DAMAGE ON ACCOUNT OF ANY MISUSE OF ANY PORTIONOF THE PREMISEES SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE INDIVIDUAL VENDOR.
PARKING: Vendors may park in any of the open City lots or along the open side streets during the event. Gallatin Street will be closed Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 8:00 am and reopen on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 11:00 pm. Vendors will be allowed to drive on Gallatin Street to unload and pack up before and after event.
RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY
I, the undersigned, acknowledge that I have voluntarily consented to participate in the 2024 Wine & Ale with Abe on real property owned by the City of Vandalia.
I understand that the 2024 Wine & Ale with Abe and all other hazards and exposures connected with such activity involve risk of harm. I am aware of the risks and dangers inherent with the activity, and I knowingly and willingly assume the risk of injury, including but not limited to injury that might result from other participants. I agree that any bodily injury, death, or loss of personal property and expenses as a result of my participation is my responsibility.
In consideration of and as a part of the right to participate in this activity on or about real property owned by the City of Vandalia & the Vandalia Historical Society, I do hereby take action for myself and forever release, waive, and discharge the City of Vandalia, Illinois Department of Transportation & the Vandalia Historical Society, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability and/or property damage incurred in association with the use of said property.
