Accessibility 2025

Beat-Herder is committed to making the festival as accessible as possible to everyone that wants to come and join us.

The information below is a summary about the practicalities and facilities within the festival site and should hopefully help anyone who has not been to Beat-Herder before.

The Site
The land used for the festival is a working farm with varying surfaces and so there are areas that are easier to manage than others. The weather conditions can affect the accessibility of the whole site.
There are many venues that will have music playing and entertainment throughout the weekend. Both the varying sizes and unique locations of each venue may make it tricky to provide viewing platforms in all but also means that there is music accessible to everyone.

Facilities
There are a fair few places across the site where people can sit and relax if they want a break from the festivities, as well as accessible toilet facilities.

Camping 

We have a separate accessible camping area, situated close to the arena entrance, where there are concessions and bars close by.

The camping area itself provides easy access to the designated car park, accessible showers/toilets and electrical charging points for wheelchairs/mobility scooters. Anyone eligible to stay in this area can camp with up to 4 people (including themselves. Subject to availablity of limited space) and one live-in vehicle or 1 space in the car park.

Personal Assistant Ticket

We operate a Personal Assistant Ticket Scheme, which provides an additional ticket free of charge for people who wouldn’t be able to come to the festival without bringing a personal assistant with them.

To be eligible for the Personal Assistant Ticket Scheme and/or access to the accessible facilities you will need to supply the following documentation (dated within the past 12 months or with valid date covering the event):

• Evidence of DLA/PIP letter (incl. start/end  dates) 
• The front page of Attendance Allowance letter
• Evidence of being registered as severely sight impaired (blind)
• Recognised Assistance Dog ID card
• Valid Access Card showing you require a '+1'

If you are not in receipt of any of the above, you can supply the following to support your application and it will be reviewed on a case by case basis:

• Valid Blue Badge + Valid Photo ID (Drivers licence/Passport)
• Doctors/Specialist Letter or Personal Statement confirming why you require the services requested
