About the Latina Living Legend Award (LLL)

The LLL award nominee should be a Dallas-Fort Worth metro-area Latina who has set a standard of excellence through her life’s work (25+ years) by opening doors, setting the standard, and serving as a catalyst for the nominee’s work that has directly benefited the community-at-large.

The nominee’s impact should be measurable, meaningful, and transformative for others within the community.  LLL nominees will be evaluated on the merits of their connection to the mission, personal development, contributions to developing others, and going above and beyond.

About the Emerging Latina Leader Award (ELLA)

ELLA nominees should be Latina professionals making an impact on Latina women and girls through personal engagement and leadership in their community, profession, and/or industry.

ELLA nominees will be evaluated on their contributions to community and leadership impact, personal development, and going above and beyond.
Nominator Requirements: 3 Statements
- Impact statement (300-word maximum) describing the life work (25+ years) of the nominee in setting a standard of excellence by improving the quality of life for others while promoting multicultural understanding through access and equity.
- Leadership statement (300-word maximum) describing how the nominee’s efforts to start a new program or activity developed ways to address critical needs within the community, solved problems, and/or promoted multicultural collaborations which served as a demonstrated catalyst for change. Information should include measurable/tangible results accomplished by the nominee.
- Contribution Statement (300-word maximum) describing why you believe the nominee merits the Latina Living Legend Award or the Emerging Latina Leader Award.
Nominee Submission Requirements

Deadline to submit a nominee: Wednesday, July 31, 2024

Nominees must be submitted by a current member of DFW Hispanic 100.

Selected recipients must be available to accept their award in person at the upcoming DFW Hispanic 100 Latina Living Legend (LLL) and Emerging Latina Leader Awards presentation on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at the Perot Museum (2201 N Field St, Dallas, TX 75201).

- Resume
- A high-resolution headshot
- (2) letters of recommendations
- Contact information for the contributors of the letters of recommendations
Notes regarding required documentation and collateral
- Incomplete nominations and those received after the deadline will not be considered.
- The nomination form and attachments will not be returned.
- The award recipient must provide photo assets during the submission process as requested and be available for a promotional photo/video shoot (date TBD).
