Proposals for StAnza International Poetry Festival 2027

We welcome event proposals from poets, publishers, workshop facilitators, and performers for our 30th anniversary festival in March 2027, to be held online and in St Andrews. Dates are to be confirmed.

Our theme for 2027 is 'Generations' and we are specifically seeking proposals for events in the following categories:

workshops (online and in person)

live art and interdisciplinary performances

outdoor activities (e.g. walks, site-specific events)

party-vibe events for evenings - on stage or in the café bar

Submissions will be welcomed from 1st May to 11:50pm (UK time) Sunday 19th July 2026. We are not able to accept submissions outwith this window.

Please note that while we aim to accommodate as many exceptional proposals as possible, the limited capacity of our festival team and the high volume of submissions mean that we cannot provide individual feedback on individual proposals. If you do not receive a response from us by 20 December 2026, please understand that your proposal was not selected for this festival.

We want to emphasise that our selection process is not a reflection of the quality of your work or ideas. Decisions are influenced by various factors, including our festival's limited duration, budget constraints, and the diverse needs of our partners and stakeholders. We value your creativity and interest in StAnza, and while we regret that we cannot accept every excellent proposal, we appreciate your understanding.

StAnza offers a per-person fee of £195 - £210, with a maximum of £420 per event. We also cover travel within the UK and one night's accommodation as standard.
