Per the association Bylaws, any changes to the conditions in which a member holds membership must be submitted to the association in writing within 15 days of such change. To determine if a change applies in your situation, consider the following questions:
Are you an agent transferring to a different brokerage, firm, or real estate company?
Are you a Broker Associate taking on the role of Broker at your current company?
Have you switched to "referral" status?
Are you retiring or leaving the real estate industry and no longer hold an active license?
If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, you must complete this form.
Definitions:
There are many possible statuses pertaining to association membership. Please review the information below before proceeding with a membership update.
REALTOR® - Licensed real estate brokers and salespersons, as well as appraisers.Primary - REALTOR® members who will pay their state and national association dues through SAR.
Secondary - REALTOR® members who pay their state and national association dues through a different local association.
Designated REALTOR® - Each firm (or office, in the case of firms with multiple office locations) shall designate in writing one REALTOR® Member who shall be responsible for all duties and obligations of membership. The Designated REALTOR® must be a sole proprietor, partner, corporate officer or branch office manager acting on behalf of the firm's principal(s) and must meet all other qualifications for REALTOR® membership.
Resignation - If a member voluntary terminates their affiliation with the association whether through retirement, leaving the industry, or other mechanism, they are said to have resigned from the association.
