  • South Bay Archery Lessons is an indoor archery range in Redondo Beach offering archery classes for beginners, as well as seasoned archers.  

    Although bows and arrows have been around for about 64,000 years, comprehensive lessons provide a sound basis for the sport of archery. Anyone can just grab a bow and arrow and shoot. But everything is better when people learn how and why it all works while they develop the correct skills necessary to have fun, to compete, or simply to grow.

  • We offer the following privately pre-scheduled lesson options:

    • Individuals (1 participant)
    • Small Groups (2-10 participants)
    • Large Groups (11+ participants)
    • Birthday Parties
    • Girl Scout & Boy Scout Troop Gatherings
    • Corporate Team Building
    • Coaching & consultations for film

    We do not offer:

    • multiple (bulk) lesson purchase discounts. 
    • package deals or discounts
    • free or discounted 1st time trial lessons
    • public group class options. ALL sessions are by privately pre-scheduled appointment only. Walk-In lessons are unavailable 

    * We are a training facility only and we do not sell archery equipment as we are not an archery store / shop.

    • Additionally, we have other program options, though most become available to students only after the first few successful private sessions and are based on safety during private sessions  

      Please be sure to read information about each program if interested to ensure if you qualify. ALL of the specialty programs / chartered groups listed below REQUIRE specific prerequisites to be fulfilled first.

      • Charter Junior Olympic Archery Developement (JOAD) via California Indoor Archer (aka "the CIA")
      • Charter Adult Archery Program (AAP) via California Indoor Archer (aka "the CIA")
      • Open Shooting – varying dates / times only *
      • Annual Camps – Summer & Winter (possible: Spring 2026)
      • Coach Certification – Practical Courses Only *
      • Independent Study Physical Education (ISPE) – school year months only **

      * this program requires additional authorization from authorized representative of the South Bay Archery Lessons' range 
      ** this program requires additional authorization from an association or school district, outside of the South Bay Archery Lesssons range
