Via Romea Germany Part lll Itzehoe-Stade
  • This is a traditional Catholic pilgrimage on foot, which serves the prayer and spiritual formation of the participants. A Holy Mass in the extraordinary rite is scheduled every day. Anyone who is open to the character of the pilgrimage and is physically able to keep up with the group (we walk on a flat route at 4-5 kilometres per hour) is invited to take part in the pilgrimage, which is of a purely private nature. The organisation team is not a travel company, but works on a voluntary and non-profit basis. The pilgrimage leaders only provide the organisational framework for a pilgrimage as a group. Each participant is responsible for themself for the entire duration of the pilgrimage. The pilgrimage organisers act on behalf of the participants and are limited to reserving accommodation and guiding the group on the pilgrimage route.
Any claim against the pilgrimage leader and any liability of the members of the organisation team towards the participants is excluded, in particular in the event of illness, accident, theft, cancellation or termination of the pilgrimage.
    Not included:
    - the journey to and from the destination
    - meals, except for those mentioned below for overnight stays
    - treatment, care or transport of the sick on foot or otherwise
    - transport of luggage. Everyone carries their own luggage during the entire pilgrimage.
    - a transfer during the pilgrimage.
However, everyone can shorten the route at their own discretion, e.g. by public transport. Catering is to be arranged individually, i.e. everyone must provide their own food and drink. Shared meals (picnic, pub) can of course be organised. The group can stop briefly at bakeries or supermarkets as decided by the pilgrimage leader.
