Embarking on a collaborative endeavor with the Florida Conference of the United Methodist Church, the Florida United Methodist Foundation is thrilled to introduce the Finance & Generosity Initiative for Clergy. Designed to empower clergy with essential financial skills, this comprehensive program begins with an immersive one-day in-person seminar covering personal finance, church finance, and strategies for fostering generosity within congregations. Following this enriching seminar, participants will embark on a six-month individual coaching journey to further develop skills across these important areas tailored to their unique needs and circumstances. The Foundation is fully underwriting this program.
This program will begin in September, and the nomination process will begin in July. Information will be shared through both the Conference and the Foundation. To ensure inclusivity and reach those who will benefit most, nominations are invited from various avenues. District superintendents, senior pastors, and self-nominations are all welcomed, fostering a diverse cohort of clergy eager to enhance their financial acumen. Through this joint effort, the Foundation, and the Conference aim to equip clergy with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate financial challenges confidently, enriching both their personal ministries and the wider church community. We are excited to provide this transformative voyage toward financial stewardship and generosity.
Selected participants will be asked to choose one seminar date from the following:
