Thank you for being a part of the 3rd annual Filipino Unity Day fiesta for 2024!! Filipino Unity Day is a one-day celebration and this year we are honored to be celebrating during Filipino History Month. The fiesta-style event aims to encourage unity for Filipino Americans in Michigan by not only bringing old friends together but providing a space for new friends to meet.
We are excited to showcase all of our vendors and notable sponsors at this special celebration. With the addition of a talent contest, cutest baby contest, teen essay contest, and so much more!!! Your presence during this community event is key.
Please fill out fields below. If there are any questions, do not hesitate to ask. All fees are non-refundable, and the deadline for fee payment to reserve your booth space is Friday, September 20, 2024.

A friendly competition showcasing the talents of our surrounding Filipino communities. If interested in competing please indicate type of talent that will be performed and upload a brief audition audio or video file below. Cutest Filipino Baby/Toddler Contest - Winner will recieve a prize plaque and a Professional photography package
Cutest Filipino Baby/Toddler Contest -
A friendly competition displaying the cutest baby/toddler; ranging from newborn to 3 years of age.
* Please provide a few pictures via upload below, will be displayed during the event. Also include name, age, baby/toddler’s brief bio (ie, what’s their favorite food? What is their favorite tv show or cartoon character? Etc)
* All participants will be showcased during the event at noon.
*Festive clothing, culture attire or Sundays best is recommended.
* A parent or guardian is expected to accompany as they ‘model’ for the crowd!
Voting will be tallied and winner announcement at 1PM.
Teen Essay Contest- What does being Filipino American mean to you? in 500-1000 words
Student Teen Essay (Highs School, 9-12 grade) Contest- What does being Filipino American mean to you?
This essay contest provides a platform for Filipino American students to share their perspective and insight on ‘what it means to be Filipino American’
This is a great way for our Fil-AM youth to share their journey and contribute to the thriving Filipino-American community.
Essays should be a minimum of 500 words, not to exceed 1000
Finalist essays will be displayed during Unity Day in honor of Filipino American History Month.
Submissions should be made no later than 9/15
- Top winners will be announced at 4pm; all selected/ displayed essays will receive a certificate of participation with awarding and future publication in Michigan Filipino Star for the grand winner.
There is $0 cost to join!

These ladies will double as event hostesses and also model their finest Filipiana attire from the different eras of the Philippines history.
