    Residents with a household income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty level may qualify for assistance.

  • Home Improvement

  • SELF provides multiple types of free home improvement services for qualifying homeowners. Income thresholds apply. Complete the form below to be contacted about your specific needs.

  • Neighbors Who Care: Home Repair provides free home repairs and mobility modifications with a team of volunteers. They can also help with various volunteer-provided, non-professional assistance.

    The Home Weatherization Assistance Program provides services that may lower your electric bill. 

    Emergency Home Repair provides certified professional assistance in areas such as electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. However, some areas are not serviced by SELF. Homes located in the City of Hamilton call Neighborhood Housing Service at 513-737-9301. Homes located in the City of Middletown call People Working Cooperatively at 513-351-7921.

    1. Federal Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) application assistance. This program does not provide immediate or urgent payment assistance.
