Unlock the vibrant world of color in our Mixed Media Color Theory class! Whether you’re an aspiring artist, designer, or just looking to explore your creative side, this class offers something for everyone.
Students ages 16+ will dive into the fundamentals of color theory, including the color wheel, harmony, contrast, hue, value, tints, shades, complementary colors and more. You'll get to experiment with various mediums such as acrylics, gouache, and collage to create dynamic and engaging artworks.
Experienced artist and teacher Naomi Ramona Schliesman will guide you through each step and provide personalized feedback. Join us and let your creativity flourish as you explore the limitless possibilities of color!
About the Instructor:
Naomi RaMona Schliesman is an award-winning interdisciplinary artist with over 20 years of experience. She received her BFA with an emphasis in sculpture from Minnesota State University Moorhead 2004 and an MFA from the University of Wisconsin-Madison 2009. She has studied art in countries across the globe and exhibited her work in major cities including New York, Chicago, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Pittsburgh, Brooklyn, Seattle, as well as across the Midwest.

*Registration Fee: This class is being offered at a "sliding-scale" fee ranging from $160-$220 (all supplies included).
Location: Class will take place in the ADA accessible classroom located in the lower level at Kaddatz Galleries (111 W. Lincoln Ave. Fergus Falls, MN 56537).
Kaddatz Galleries is offering our adult art classes at a sliding scale fee to allow individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds access to creative education, fostering inclusivity and equitable opportunity for artistic expression.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund. The true cost of this class without support from grant funding would be $300 per student.
