    As a Solar Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling solar energy solutions to residential customers. You will educate potential clients on the benefits of solar energy, assess their energy needs, and design customized solar solutions to meet those needs. Your primary goal will be to increase solar adoption, contribute to sustainable energy initiatives, and drive business growth for our company.

    Performance Benchmarks: 

    • Self-Set Goals: As an independent contractor, set your own sales goals. For guidance, a typical successful contractor might aim to achieve around 80 KW of solar installations monthly. These benchmarks are intended as references for potential earnings and personal achievement, not as mandated quotas.
    • Identify and engage with potential customers through various means, including cold calling, referrals, networking, door knocking, and attending industry events
    • Develop and maintain a database of leads and effectively prioritize them for sales outreach
    • Educate customers on the advantages of solar energy, including cost savings, environmental benefits, and available incentives or rebates
    • Explain the solar installation process, system components, and financing options to potential customers
    • Visit customers' locations to evaluate their energy needs, roof suitability, and sun exposure to determine the optimal solar system size and design
    • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to create personalized solar energy proposals based on site assessments and customer preferences
    • Present proposals to customers, address their questions and concerns, and negotiate terms to secure contracts
    • Work closely with the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets, sharing insights and best practices to enhance overall sales effectiveness
    • Assist customers in completing necessary paperwork and contracts for solar system installation, financing, and incentives
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers by providing exceptional customer service throughout the sales process and addressing any post-sale inquiries or concerns


    Contractor Requirements:

    • 18+
    • Proven experience in sales, preferably in solar energy, renewable energy, or a related industry
    • Familiarity with solar energy products, systems, and industry trends
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and influence potential customers
    • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities to close deals and meet sales targets
    • Ability to understand technical aspects of solar energy systems and convey this knowledge in a clear and accessible manner to customers
    • Proficient in using CRM software and other relevant sales tools
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to conduct site visits and meet with customers
    • Any relevant sales certifications or licenses in the solar or renewable energy field (desired, but not mandatory)
    • Must be self-driven
