Destination Downtown, a partnership between the Mississippi Main Street Association, Main Street Arkansas, and Louisiana Main Street, is the South’s premier downtown revitalization conference with Main Street executive directors, board members, city officials, merchants, property owners and others gathering to share ideas on building sustainable downtown communities.

The 2024 conference will be held in historic downtown Vicksburg, Mississippi on Sept. 11-13. We are celebrating "40 Years of Main Street" at Destination Downtown this year as 2024 marks the 40th anniversary for all three state coordinating programs as well as the Vicksburg Main Street Program.

General registration is $175, with a registration deadline of Friday, Aug. 30. Please note, no refunds may be made after Aug. 30.

Main Street 101 Lunch Workshop$25.00

Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Are you a new Main Street Director or Board Member? Or, just need a refresher? Don't miss this fun introductory workshop to the world of Main Street. The workshop will be held at the VCC. Boxed Lunch included!

Cooking Class at Catfish Row Museum$30.00

Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Enjoy a cooking demonstration by Mississippi Chef Nick Wallace in the historic rehabilitated Catfish Row Museum and enjoy a delicious Southern lunch with multiple courses. (30 seats available)

Brownfields and Brewery Tour$15.00

Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 2-4 p.m. This mobile tour will visit redeveloped brownfield sites and end with a fun tasting at Key City Brewery in downtown. (47 seats available)

Historic Walking and Public Art Tour$ Free

Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 2-4 p.m. Start at the Vicksburg Convention Center and stroll (or golf cart!) along historic Washington Street. Hear about the heritage and culture of Vicksburg as you browse local art galleries, beautiful murals, beautified parks, and more.

Scenic Vicksburg Tour$ Free

Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 2-4 p.m. This mobile tour will visit the Vicksburg National Military Park Interpretive Center, take in the award-winning, restored Tiffany stained-glass windows at Holy Trinity Church, and stop by the Old Mississippi River Bridge for awesome scenery and great photos. (29 seats available)
