Travel Insurance Form

To take part in our trips, you must have travel insurance.

Coverage provided by travel insurance should include:

High-altitude trekking up to 6,000 Meters (not mountaineering)
Medical expenses
Repatriation costs
Trip cancellations
We automatically enroll every client with AMREF Flying Doctors Evacuation Coverage—which provides helicopter-based search and rescue operations on Mount Kilimanjaro—within your travel insurance policy. Only those with current travel insurance are eligible for this.

You will be required to show proof of insurance. Kindly bring a copy of your policy with you to the trip briefing.

Before the climb, we will confirm that you are covered by the right insurance. Clients turned away for not obtaining the required coverage are not eligible for refunds.

Travel Guard
Our recommendation for insurance is Travel Guard. You can get coverage for your climb of Kilimanjaro with the Travel Guard's Essential Insurance Plan. You must be a resident of the United States to use Travel Guard.
