Warrensburg Sweet Corn Eating Contest Registration Form

The 2nd Annual Sweet Corn Eating Contest is coming soon!

Date: Thursday, July 17, 2025

Time: 6:30pm start. The Contestants need to arrive by 6:15pm for instructions.

Location: 155 E. Main Street, Warrensburg, Illinois, at the Warrensburg Corn Festival Community Stage.

Registration fee: $20.00

Rules:

The Contest is limited to thirty contestants. Each contestant will compete in one of three heats with each heat consisting of ten contestants to determine a first place, second place, and third place overall winner.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
This is a contest of speed and quantity.
All ears of corn must be eaten horizontally and clean of kernels to be counted.
There will be an official contest starter.
The contestant who finishes eating the most corn in the allotted amount of time (3 minutes) will be the winner. Tie breakers will be one minute.
Contestants will have 15 seconds to swallow the remaining corn in their mouth.
Contestants must keep the corn down for two minutes after the contest is over. Failure to do so will disqualify the contestant.
Water is the only drink contestants will be allowed to drink during the contest. The corn will be cooked and eaten plain. No butter, seasoning or other flavorings allowed.
You will get messy, so dress appropriately.
All decisions made by the head judge are final.

Cash Prizes:

First Place is $200.00, Second Place is $100.00, and Third Place is $50.00.

The first 30 people to register and make payment below will compete. Proceeds to benefit the Warrensburg-Latham FFA program.
