Scarlett's Cat Sanctuary & Furry Friends Pet Recovery Adoption Process
Our adoption process is a bit different from other rescues. We have steps in place that many others do not have including reviewing our Adoption Guide, viewing our educational videos, and/or placing deposits down to hold a kitten or a cat.
We want to ensure that you are 100% satisfied with the cat that you adopt and also that the cat is going to a safe, loving home.
What you can expect during the Adoption Process
- Begin by completing this Cat Survey
- Complete the Adoption Application
- We ask for at least a 50% deposit for the cat that you are adopting.
- Once you have submitted the adoption application, you will receive 2 emails:
- One email will contain a copy of your filled out adoption application
- The other email will contain a link to our Adoption Guide to read and acknowledge
- Upon acknowledging the Adoption Guide, you will be sent an email to watch our educational videos that are posted on our website. The videos you will be required to watch are based the on the age of the cat you are adopting, if you have other animals and/or children in the household, and/or if you are a new pet parent. The email provides all of the instructions to watch the videos.
- When you have completed all of the videos, you will need to refer back to your email and click on the link to sign the Video Education Agreement form
- When you complete the Video Education Agreement, the rescue will be notified and, if not done already, they will contact you to setup a meet and greet with the cat.
- The final step of the process is to complete the Adoption Agreement and pay any outstanding balances.
