SCAG is releasing the Sustainable Communities Program (SCP) – Active Transportation and Safety call for applications on July 8. The program will fund quick-build projects and improve roadway safety to help achieve the mobility goals of the Connect SoCal 2024 Regional Transportation Plan/Sustainable Communities Strategy. This program is funded by the state Active Transportation Program and a federal Safe Streets and Roads for All grant. The 2024 SCP – Active Transportation and Safety call for applications has an estimated $10.4 million available to fund projects in the region.
SCAG will be holding two workshops to support the application process:
- Session 1 | Thursday, July 25, 10 - 11:30 a.m.
- Session 2 | Wednesday, Aug. 7, 1:30 - 3 p.m.
Please note that both application workshops will cover the same content, and a recording will be available online.
In addition, SCAG is offering office hours to provide additional support during the application period. Visit the SCP website to sign up for office hours.
Applications are due Sept. 27, 2024, by 11:59 p.m.
