THE DANCE JOURNEY 
Program Descriptions 2024/2025 

Essentials 2 (E2) 
Classes offered in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap. Beginning/Intermediate level with previous dance experience. Two ballet classes a week and a jazz class are required at this level. Additional classes are offered in Tap, Jumps and Turns and Hip Hop. Focus on alignment, flexibility, strength, musicality, performance and coordination with an emphasis on choreography, dance etiquette and self-confidence. 3.5 HOURS REQUIRED $263 per month for minimum requirements. 
 
Essentials 1(E1) 
Continuing work from Essentials 2, this is an Intermediate level program with classes offered in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary and Tap.  Two ballet classes, and a jazz class are required at this level. Additional classes are offered in Contemporary, Tap, Jumps and Turns and Hip Hop. The curriculum for E1 also introduces ballet variations. Pre-pointe/Pointe are introduced at this level at the discretion of the directors. E1 continues to build on self-confidence, while adding practices for positivity. 4.25 HOURS REQUIRED $306 per month for minimum requirements 
 
Pre-Professional 2 (P2) 
Building upon E1, P2 focuses on style, speed, strength, refinement and emphasis on performance. Dancers will receive more intricate work to begin the study of details in choreography and classwork. Three ballet classes, one jazz or one contemporary class are required at this level. P2 promotes methods for mindfulness and emotional stamina. 6.75 HOURS REQUIRED $437 per month for minimum requirements

Pre-Professional 1 (P1) 
Our highest level, P1, works on the skills necessary to move on to a professional or collegiate level dance program. P1 is for dedicated students who are committed to learning and growing at their highest capability.  This journey is for the highly driven and open minded.  Three ballet classes and one jazz or contemporary class is required at this level.  P1 promotes strategies for success for a career in dance. 6.75 HOURS REQUIRED $437 per month for minimum requirements

The Dance Journey Program: The Professional Path 
The Dance Journey Program (DJP) is our daytime program for serious dance students who are looking to pursue dance at the highest levels. This program is held during the daytime hours and students pursue their academics through homeschool or virtual school programs. This intense program aims to train students not only technically and artistically, but also to provide tools to navigate a career in dance. DJP students will be prepared to enter a professional training program in a variety of genres. 12 daytime hours per week. $700 per month includes two private lessons per week.

 
 

Uniforms

Ballet  - black leotard any style, pink tights

Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Acro - form fitting clothing. Black tights, shorts,          

                                               leggings, leotards, athletic and crop tops

7.75 hours per week - $481 per month 

Unlimited evening(does not apply to DJP) per week - $488 per month 

Dance Journey Program(daytime)  - $700 per month 

One Time Registration Fee to The Academy of Dance and Acrobotics of $25 will be added to your account once registered

Sibling Discount 10%

Tuition will not be prorated for shorter months. Tuition is based on the 10 month school year and is broken down into monthly installments.
