Why we need this information

In order to check that you can get married at St Mary's please
tell us the following information about you and your Fiancé.

You need a Qualifying Connection
You will need a qualifying connection in order to get married at St Mary's Wistaston? Please see our main wedding pages for an explanation of this. When Parish is mentioned below it means the Ecclesiastical Parish - to check that you live in the Parish please go to this website: achurchnearyou.com. Put in your address and then searchenter and the list will tell you which church is your Parish Church. 

Your Marital Status

Please note that we can only consider applications for Marriage for those who are divorced if one of you lives in the parish (go to achurchnearyou.com to check). In the case of a divorce there would have to be a separate interview with the Rector to see whether we can proceed with the wedding. Proof of a Decree Absolute would be required in all cases before we can continue.

A date for your wedding - please read...

When requesting a date below please bear in mind we do not conduct weddings: on a Sunday, on the 3rd Saturday of June (Wistaston Village Fete!), on UK Bank Holidays, on Good Friday, Easter Saturday or Easter Monday, on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Years Eve.

Enquiries for for any date after the 3rd Sunday of December, except those mentioned above, would be considered, but as this is an extremely busy time in the life of the church, priority would be given to church events and requests would be looked at on an individual basis.
