The aim of this form is to combat two of the biggest barriers for people accessing mental health services: finances + difficulties with vulnerability.
Through the responses, Raff will provide his own thoughts via Balalnced Blokes content, with hopes of shedding light on your issue for others who resonate with it.
This is a completely anonymous response form and you can share as little or as much as you want.
Some helpful tips to get the most out of your response:
- You are not trying to please anyone with this, remember that this is for you and always come back to that as you are writing.
- If you would like to include an anecdote(s), use different names for places, things and people. I will also replace these, so there is a back-up in case you forget.
- Writing out what is troubling you may be really helpful. However, this may also bring up difficult emotions. Take as much time as you need, have mental health suppoprt lines on a seperate tab and a safe friend to call if the exercise takes you by surprise.
Ultimately, this may give you a little taste of what it is like to have someone listen and support what you are going through, especially when you feel like all your current options have been exhausted.
Disclaimer: Rafferty Dall is not a licensed psychotherapist (he is in training) and any thoughts provided in response to what you have shared is not the equivalent of what you would receive from a psychologist or other mental health practitioner.
