Kingman Pickleball Club Code of Conduct
OVERVIEW
Kingman Pickleball Club (KPC) strives to maintain an atmosphere of good sportsmanship, collegiality, and respect for Club rules and procedures. Such an atmosphere is necessary for the smooth functioning of a busy pickleball club that attracts members and guests of varying ages, genders and skill levels. Conduct by individual members that does not meet appropriate standards detracts from the playing or observing experience of others and may harm the reputation of the Club. As a result, there is an expectation that all KPC members embrace the values of good sportsmanship. It is essential that members model good behavior, lead by example, display respect, and show self-control.
MY COMMITMENT TO KPC
As a member of KPC, I understand I am representing the Club. As such, I acknowledge and agree to abide by the following:
- I will not engage in unsportsmanlike conduct and will not encourage others to do so.
- I will not engage in any behavior that would endanger the health, safety, or wellbeing of others.
- I will not engage in the use of obscene gestures.
- I will not flaunt my level or position in the Pickleball community.
- I will not taunt or degrade others.I will treat others with respect and kindness.
- I will exhibit fairness and honesty in my dealings with others.
- I will accept responsibility for my actions.
- I will exemplify the highest standard in ethical behavior and fair play.
- I will engage in conduct that is free from fear, discrimination, abuse, and
  harassment.
- I will accept responsibility for guests and family members in attendance at events and/or open play opportunities.
- I will observe the Golden Rule of doing unto others as I would have them do unto me.
I understand violation of the Code of Conduct could result in a warning. However, more severe, repetitive cases may result in a revocation of my membership. I have read, understand, and agree to abide by Kingman Pickleball Club’s Code of Conduct.

RELEASE In consideration of being permitted to participate in any way in the Kingman Pickleball Club, (Club, the Club or KPC), I, for myself, my heirs or assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue the KIngman Pickleball Club as well as:

, their officers, volunteers, and agents from liability from any and all claims resulting in personal injuries, death, accidents, illnesses (such as communicable diseases including COVID-19), and property loss arising from, but not limited to, participation in Club activities.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK Participation in the Club carries with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care to avoid injuries. The specific risks vary but include: 1) minor injuries such as bruises, sprains, and dehydration, 2) major injuries such as eye injuries, joint or back injuries, heat stroke, heart attacks, and concussions, and 3) catastrophic injuries such as paralysis and death. I have read the previous paragraphs and I know, understand and appreciate these and other risks that are inherent in playing pickleball. I assert that my participation is voluntary and that I knowingly assume such risks.

INDEMNIFICATION AND HOLD HARMLESS I also agree to indemnify and hold the Kingman Pickleball Club and all named above harmless from any and all claims, actions, suits, costs, expenses, damages and liabilities, including attorney's fees brought as a result of my involvement in the Club.

USE PERMISSION I also give the Kingman Pickleball Club and its agents and designees permission to use or distribute, without limitation or obligation, my image, name, voice, and words for any purpose connected with the Club, including promotional, marketing, training, informational, and archival uses.
