Join us 9th - 14th July at Somers Gallery for an innovative exhibition that provocatively challenges the conventional norms of the art world. Our exhibition critiques the corporatisation of the art world and the inaccessibility of art acquisition whilst scrutinising how this influences artists’ practices.
Works including painting, sculpture, installation, photography and performance make reference to the exploration of the following questions:
‘What is no one came?’
‘What if no one saw?’
‘What if no one bought?’
In a critique of the art industry's emphasis on purpose-led creation, the accompanying public programme will explore other unconventional means of selling and showing art plus raising funds using funfair style art acquisition games, live painting & perfromances.
Featured Artists: Dánae Ortega, Dominic Myatt, James Lang, Jorge Alberto Ayllon, Larissa Barddal Fantini, Molly Kent, Xmxdeus.
