Starting July 15th - July 28th, Co-op Owners can nominate local organizations for Round Up For Good. Round Up For Good is a community-funded grant supported by our customers and owners. Each month, a local organization that enriches our community receives donations through customers "Rounding Up" their change at the registers. A little bit at the register adds up to a lot: we have raised over $525,000 for local organizations since 2012!
All nominated organizations must be active in Champaign County and align with Common Ground's Four Ends:
End #1: The Co-op is the center of an inclusive, vibrant community.
End #2: The cooperative movement is strengthened.
End #3: The Co-op serves as an educational resources on food issues.
End #4: The local food movement is equitable, robust, and environmentally sound.
Starting in 2023, we began designating two months of RUFG donations to our food access program, Food For All in order to properly support more community members in need. The program covers equity for people who cannot afford it as well as a 10% discount on staple food items and our entire produce section. With the additional funds from two months of Round Up For Good, we will be able to help provide more food to more people in this time of increased food prices and economic inflation.
