Crows Nest Fest 2024: Celebrating Connection, Culture, and Creativity

Crows Nest, Sydney – Mark your calendars for Sunday 20 October 2024, as Crows Nest Mainstreet proudly presents the return of the beloved Crows Nest Fest. Running from 10am to 5pm, this year’s festival embraces the theme of ‘Connection, Culture, and Creativity’, promising a vibrant day filled with activities, culinary delights, and entertainment for all ages. 

Expected to attract over 40,000 attendees, the festival showcases the dynamic spirit of the Crows Nest community. With 200+ market stalls, the renowned Gourmet Food Alley, the new North’s Collective Cantina Pop-Up Tequila and Taco Bar, and a bustling Food Truck Alley, this year's event promises an expansive and delicious journey. The festival footprint has grown, extending beyond Willoughby Road to include the lively streets surrounding the Crows Nest METRO, offering even more engaging activities.

Canine Capers: This year’s festivities kick off with the exciting ‘Canine Capers’ at Ernest Place, John Griffin Memorial Stage. Watch 20 local dogs and their owners compete in fun categories like best lookalike, best biscuit catcher, and the crowd-favourite People’s Choice Award. 10:00am – 11:45am – 'Canine Capers' on stage, Ernest Place, John Griffin Memorial Stage.

There has been a limit of 20 dogs and owner applicants for this year's 'Canine Capers' competition so get in fast and register your interest.

Prizes: Get ready to give a huge tail wag to the incredible businesses that are making our dog competition extra paw-some!

First up, Pet Barn is bringing the big stuff—literally! They've packed together 7 prize bundles, each including a whopping 20kg of dog food for our 1st place champions! So, if your pooch is gunning for the top spot, their food bowl is about to get very full!

Speaking of bowls, Huskee has got you covered with 20 stylish, sturdy dog bowls. Perfect for our furry friends who believe dinner is the most important time of day (which, let's be honest, is all of them!).

And what’s a doggo competition without a cool treat? C9 Gelato is dishing out 20 delicious Pup Pops to keep our contestants refreshed and ready to strut their stuff.

For those pups who love a good chew, Purina is bringing the goods with Purina Lucky Dog Meaty Chews. We're talking 300 packs of tasty goodness that’ll keep tails wagging all day long.

Last but not least, we’re turning up the volume with Big Music, who will be our DJs for the day! These guys are donating their time to make sure the party vibes are as loud as a Great Dane's bark!

RULES:

1. All dogs must be on leads
2. All dogs must have correct vaccinations
3. Poo bags are supplied but entrants should still bring their own
4. Judge’s decisions are final
5. If the dog owner applicant is under 18yo then they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on event day
