We invite all emerging artists to express their interest in participating in the Emerging Artists Summer Exhibition NOV 20- JAN 30. Please note, as this is a curated event, not all applications will be selected for exhibition.

About

An emerging artist is a creator in the early stages of their career who has not yet achieved widespread recognition or a significant level of commercial success. 

You are eligible to take part in this exhibition if you at the beginning of your art career. You may have been apart or had a few exhibitions, but are not yet widely known or established in your field.

If this is you, we would love to see what you have created! 

- This exhibition offers an opportunity for emerging artists to exhibit their art in a professional art gallery. 

- An opportunity to network with other emerging artists. 

- Expand and engage your art audience while connecting with potential buyers.

Deadline: Friday 4 October 2024 | cut off 5.00pm

Exhibition dates: 20 November 2024 - 30 January 2025

Cost: $50 per application

Artwork drop-off:  13 November 2024

Opening: Saturday 23 November 2024

Collection of works: January 31 2025

Number of Artworks per artist:  1

 

Condtion of Entry

All mediums accepted except video

The maximum allowable size for each artwork is 1 meter, in any direction.

Artworks require a secure hanging system or stable base for 3D to be included in the exhibition

All entries must be the original work of the submitting artist and must have been designed or completed within two years prior to 2024

You must be an emerging artist 

All works must be available for the whole exhibition 

All selected artworks must be for sale

Commission on sales of artwork is 30% inclusive of GST

Payment to artists of sold work will be made by Direct Deposit processed within 21 days of exhibition closure.

All care will be taken when handling the works, however Quadrant Gallery will not be responsible for loss, theft or damage.  Artists are responsible for own insurance cover. 

Artists grant Quadrant Gallery permission the right to reproduce their work for any media promotional purposes. 

Unsold artworks not collected on Monday 3 February and if prior arrangements with Quadrant Gallery have not been made, the artwork will be donated. 

Quadrant Gallery reserves the right to refuse to display artworks upon the following grounds:

- Failure to comply in any way with the terms, conditions and procedures will make an entry ineligible 

- Could be considered offensive, character denigration, racial or religious prejudice

- Artwork may be refused if it is deemed unable to be displayed due to be of poor quality and not meeting expected standards of the Gallery

- Different artwork to image sent with application.
