  • Please Note: The girls' competition will only proceed if enough teams are submitted to TBAWA to form a competition. TND is doing everything possible to encourage all clubs to support this great event, and we will continue to promote girls in Teeball.

    State Championships Overview

    Event: State Championships
    Dates: Labour Day Long Weekend, 2026 (Saturday 28th February - Monday 2nd March) Location: Yokine Reserve, WA
    Participants: Over 80 representative teams from both country and metro WA
    Age Groups: Two age groups (U9, U10 & U11) and (U12 & U13)
    Games: Teams typically play 5 games across the weekend

    Pre-State Carnivals

    When: December till  February
    Where: Various locations across the Perth Metro area
    Purpose: Preparation for the State Championships

    Commitment Requirements

    Training:

    • Tuesday Afternoons between 4pm - 7.30pm
    • Sutherlands Park
    • Player must attened at least 90% of the scheduled training sessions

    Pre-State Carnivals:

    • Throughout December till Febuary 
    • Must attend the Thornlie Carnival (8th Februrary 2025)
    • Be Available for a Minimum of 3 Pre-State Carnivals

    State Championships Weekend:

    Must be available to play during the Labour Day Long Weekend, 28th February - 2nd March 2026

    Costs

    • Registration Fee: $150 (Covers insurance, shirt, hat, team photos and windup)
    • State Socks: $12.00
    • Additional Requirement: Black pants to be supplied by the player


    Umpire Information

    Long Weekend: Umpires provided by Thornlie and Districts

    Pre-State Carnivals: Teams must provide their own umpires, potentially incurring extra costs to parents

    Important Notes

    Ensure availability for Pre-State Carnivals and the State Championships weekend.

    Selected players are expected to foster team goals and demonstrate commitment to the team and training sessions.

    Do not complete this nomination form if your child is unable to attend the Pre-State Carnivals or the State Championships during the Labour Day long weekend.

     

  • TRIAL DETAILS

    Part One: of the Trials will be Skills Assessment
    Part Two: of the Trials will be Game Play Assessment

    Date: Sunday, 26th October 2025

    Location: Sutherlands Park Oval

    Registration: 8:15 AM

    Trial Start Time: 9:00 AM

    Duration: 1-2 hours (depending on the number of players)

    Uniform: Participants must wear neutral clothing. NO club colors or previous state championship clothing/hats are permitted.

    Requirements: Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, snacks, and lunch. These items will go with the players.


    Parent Information: Parents must remain in the designated sitting area near the demountable. Please do not approach the trial area to ensure players stay fully focused.


    It is important to emphasize that all players will be continuously assessed on their behavior and sportsmanship throughout the trials and beyond, even after being selected for a team.

    Inappropriate behavior or poor sportsmanship at any time can jeopardize a player’s position on the team. This is taken very seriously, and any decisions regarding a player's conduct will be made at the discretion of the Executive Committee and the State Coordinator.

    You will be notified by Wednesday, 29th October 2025 if your child has been selected to represent Thornlie & Districts.

  • I Understand that if my child does not attend and participate in all ability testing dates for States Championship selections, this will jeopardize their selections.

    I Understand that after trials that I am unable to find out the scores of any children who trialed.

    I Understand that results my take up to 7 days to be reveled and I can not ask a committee member for information regarding my child or other children.

    If my child is accepted into a State Championship Squad/Team they will be required to attend at least 90% of the scheduled Training days on a Tuesday afternoons. All players must be available to play on the Labour Day Long weekend

    Faliure to comply with any of the above, may jeperdise my childs spot in the team or future spots in Thornlie and Districts states teams.
