Transitions are often difficult phases in our lives; it is a time of upheaval and rebirth. But, they also create important dialogue and experiences.
What transitions have you undergone recently? Or, what transitions has Port Alberni undergone? Where have we been, and where are we going?
Whether it is transitions that are personal, societal or global, we want to see your experiences exploring this topic.
Each piece must fit within a 24"x24" space; if your work is bigger than 24"x24", please tell us in the details below. Pieces that are too large may not be accepted into the exhibit or will require an additional registration fee. Work to be hung on the wall
Works to be hung on the wall must be framed with a one-point hanging system using wire from the stretcher frame or the picture frame. Wire must be tight and placed low enough to allow for the hanging system to be hidden behind the work. Sculptures will be placed on plinths or on the floor of the gallery, as required. Works that require hanging/installation outside of this standard will require additional planning, documentation and assistance which will need to be discussed prior to acceptance.
All works must be delivered to the Gallery on Friday and Saturday September 27th and 28th clearly labeled with artist name, title, date, medium and retail price.
Your works must be picked up on Saturday, November 2nd. Pick up time will be from 12 pm till 3:30 Pm.
