SUMMER 2025 INFORMATION
Dear Parents and Players.
Please complete this Expression of interest to participate in the upcoming Term 4+1 season for West Coast Kings.
Before we begin we need to reiterate that this is NOT confirmation that you/your child have been placed in a team.
All current (Winter 2024) West Coast Kings players are automatically offered a spot on a Summer team, based on returning numbers and the teams we are able to enter into the PBA competition we will then know if we can offer you/your child a spot.
West Coast Kings is big on family and player involvement so this season before finalising teams we wil be running an Open Trial. This trial will be scrimmage based only.
What is a scrimmage?? A scrimmage is casual game play. We will be running 5x5 half court games and assessing players. Players will be split into Age Groups and we will likely mix Boys and Girls where there are not enough players.
Both returning players and New players will be invited to attend this Scrimmage Trial.
What we are looking at during the trial.
-Team Interaction
-Game Play
-Skills
-Communication
-Attitude
Please note we are not selecting the "BEST" players for Kings we are selecting players based on the best fit for our current teams. Our teams are created on how we believe we can best develop players. Our teams are entered in all divisions but mostly Division 2 - 4. Therefore please understand being the top scorer will not secure a spot in our team.
West Coast Kings believes in equal opportunities and finding people who want to commit, develop and grow with our club.
West Coast Kings has a zero tolerance policy when it comes to arguing with PBA officials, referee and staff. We also have a stand down period for any players, coaches or parents that receive technical fouls. There is no space at West Coast Kings for Abusive behaviour. For those transferring from other clubs we do on occasion seek out feedback from those clubs about any behaviour issues.
If our values do not align with you, then we suggest seeking an alternative club.
