We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Job Coach Intern to join our team beginning September 1st, 2024. The internship will end on December 1st, 2024. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of rehabilitation counseling. As a Job Coach Intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients' employment goals. Extensive training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with developing professional resumes and cover letters
- Write reports and document client progress
- Conduct employer outreach via phone, email, and in person to identify job opportunities
- Provide guidance and support to clients in their job search efforts
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of client interactions and progress
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement effective job coaching strategies
Qualifications:
- Must be available to work 3 days per week M-F (12 hours total)
- Must be enrolled at a four year college or university at least part-time
- Must be enrolled in an internship or co-op course.
- Must be able to work in person at our office in Columbia, Maryland
- Reliable transportation is required
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Currently enrolled as an undergraduate senior or graduate student majoring in rehabilitation services, rehabilitation counseling, psychology, or human services
