As an authorized representative of this organization/business and its participating members, I/we hereby understand and agree to accept the risk of bodily injury and/or property damage which I/we may incur or cause a third party to incur as a result of my/our participation in San Pedro Spirit of the Holidays Parade. With this understanding, I/we further agree to indemnify, defend and save harmless the City of Los Angeles, the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce, and Upbeat Parade Productions LLC, its Boards, its Commissions, and their respective officers, agents, and employees from and against any and all claims, losses, injuries, suits, and judgments arising from, or in connection with/my successors, assigns, heirs, executors and administrators, and any other persons or entity's who/which may have a claim based on my/our personal injuries and/or property damage.
I/we further certify that our organization/business maintains insurance coverage appropriate for our participation in the Event, including coverage for our participants, vehicles, floats, equipment, and activities, and that such insurance will remain in effect throughout the Event. Upon request, I/we agree to provide proof of insurance in the form of a certificate of insurance or other acceptable documentation prior to participating in the Event.
I also consent to video and photographs to be taken of me for use in future City publicity and I understand that I will not receive any compensation for such use.
I/we further understand and agree that this saves harmless and indemnification shall apply to all facilities that the City of Los Angeles, the San Pedro Chamber of Commerce, and Upbeat Parade Productions, LLC may own and/or control. Furthermore, I/we have read and agree to abide by the San Pedro Spirit of the Holidays Parade guidelines and rules, as shown in the pages provided and those to be presented with the participant's information package if my unit is accepted.
