The Tourism Hall of Leadership recognizes individual tourism professionals or volunteers who have made significant, positive, and long-lasting contributions to the industry in Washington State. Inductees must be nominated by a member of the tourism industry within the state. Induction may be considered for active industry members, retired members, or be made posthumously. Generally, up to three inductions are considered each year.
Traits and contributions of inductees include but are not limited to:
- Long-tenured (at least ten years) and impactful leadership roles in the state tourism industry
- Significant contributions to the industry’s growth or reputation
- Advancement of the industry through advocacy
- Legacy programs that benefit the industry or a Washington community
- Inspirational professional or service standards
Nomination requirements
Nominees are not required to currently work in the state industry or reside in Washington. Self-nominations are not accepted. At the nominating committee’s discretion, a non-industry leader may be inducted if their leadership and contributions to the state industry are deemed as comparable to those of fellow inductees and uphold the criteria for induction.
Please describe the nominee in as much detail as possible (150-word limit for each section below):
