  • Off-Campus Lunch Qualifications and General Guidelines

  • Seniors (students with at least 18 credits) and Juniors with CTE Practicums (at least 12 credits) qualify for off-campus lunch privileges. 

    • The number of course credits may be found on the student's transcipt and are determined at the start of the school year.
    • Students must complete online off-campus lunch applications with both student and parent signatures by Friday, August 22, 2025.
    • All off-campus lunch applications must be approved by the KHS Associate Principal and the CTE Coordinator.
    • Students who leave for off-campus lunch must exit/enter the campus using the front doors.
    • Students must show ID prior to leaving campus.
    • Students with 3 or more discipline referrals will lose their off-campus lunch privileges for the remainder of the year.
    • Students who have more than 9 absences in any period will lose their off-campus lunch privileges for the remainder of the year.
    • Students who receive displinary placements (ISS, OSS, DAEP) will lose their off-campus lunch privileges for the remainder of the year.
    • Students who engage in fighting/mutual combat or assault will lose their off-campus lunch privileges for the remainder of the year.
  • General Violations of Off-Campus Lunch Privileges

    1. Excessive tardies after lunch.
    2. Excessive absences after lunch or during the lunch period (5th Period).
    3. Bringing off-campus food back to campus for self or others.
    4. Eating off-campus food in classrooms.
    5. Taking students off campus who do not have off-campus lunch privileges and/or returning ineligible students to campus.  (This includes picking up ineligible students across the street from campus.)
    6. Loitering in the student parking lot during lunches.
    7. Causing problems and/or inappropriate behavior at local businesses.
    8. Unsafe driving and/or speeding in the parking lot.
    9. Entering another school's campus.
    10. General violations of the KISD Student Code of Conduct.
    11. Other violations, as determined by KHS Administrators.
  • Consequences for General Violations of Off-Campus Lunch Privileges

  • FIRST VIOLATION - Loss of Off-Campus Lunch Privileges for 1 Week

    SECOND VIOLATION - Loss of Off-Campus Lunch Privileges for 3 Weeks

    THIRD VIOLATION - Loss of Off-Campus Lunch Privileges for 9 Weeks

    FOURTH VIOLATION - Loss of Off-Campus Lunch Privileges for the Remainder of the Year
